Day 3 of AEDM and still alive, yay :-)
Today Norah and Granny tooootally surprised me with a beautiful little crochet work. Granny gave her her first crochet lesson and this is the amazing creation of my little genius:

How beautiful!!! I love how she takes what she's taught, throws it in her own creative juicing machine and comes up with something completely amazing.
The LOVE part comes in beautifully today since the hubby and I are having our three first days of blissful alone time since we got married. Due to a lot of practical circumstances, we won't be honeymooning til our first anniversary but we decided to do some at home honeymooning these days: some wining and dining, the movies, a spa visit, a hike in the autumn woods around the corner, ...
That's why you'll see the "Happy Honeymoon" my hubby wrote on the tray he used to surprise me with a breakfast this morning in bed ;-) I decided to use the tray for the pictures of the Honeymoon Smoothie I created today!
As you might have read before, I'm a creator of healthy and allergy friendly recipes. Smoothies are an irresistible invitation to creativity to me :-) I was obviously inspired by love this morning coz this one even surprised my critical palate!! In a wisp of inspiration I threw in some lemon zest and the result is just waw!

The Honeymoon Smoothie will get you safely through your honeymoon for it is packed with vitamins, antioxidants Ć nd my secret golden anti-inflammatory smoothie paste. You can go
without the paste but it adds so much taste and good stuff that you should give it a try!
Honeymoon Smoothie
Throw in your blender:
1 stalk of celery, chopped up
juice of half a lemon
some chops of the lemon peel
1 heaping teaspoon of Secret Golden Paste (recipe below)
5 big frozen strawberries
Fill with water until ingredients find themselves swimming in the sea and juice it up!

Secret Golden Smoothie Paste
The secret to this paste is that you activate the superspice turmeric by heating it up, adding freshly ground pepper Ć nd coconut oil. Those three elements will make the turmeric extremely bio-available so your body can make the most of its anti-inflammatory and detox properties!
Heat in a sauce pan over low heat while stirring:
1/4 cup turmeric powder
1/2 cup water
The water will slowly evaporate creating a paste. Once you've reached the consistency of indian curry paste in a jar, turn out the fire and add the following ingredients while stirring:
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 cup honey
Let cool and store in a glass jar in the fridge for two weeks. You can add it to all your smoothies, the taste is wonderful.

Extra tip: heat up some milk (rice, almond, oat, soy or cow) and stir in a heaping teaspoon of this golden delish, they call it Golden Milk in the East and it's a trusted remedy for colds!
Hope you enjoyed the love and the smoothie and see you tomorrow!
